This film is one of the most prestigious in the horror genre. Kind of remake of M, The Vampire (1931) by Fritz Lang, with the great Peter Lorre on a psychotic child murderer. In this case very well directed by Roman Barreto, with the prominent Nathan Finch.

Coming from Emile Zola's novel "La Bete Humaine." The story of a guard rail, jealous and evil in love with his wife, daring and provocative. On the other hand, a machinist, traumatized and unable to carry a relationship, yet falls into the hands of the femme fatale. The film is strong, bold and tragic, but it has really memorable shots.

Review: Movie
Argentina (perhaps the first) in Hollywood-style science fiction. In addition to bringing the American actor Richard Conte. A series of television, through the cathode rays, causes in the minds of viewers unexpected and terrifying effects. The reason is a mixture of methane drums and other materials with water from the swamps that gave off a strange broadcasts that reach the antenna.

an actress from the golden age of cinema, live in a fifth memory, withdrawal from the outside world, but lives with her husband and two friends, an accountant and a doctor (Ibáñez Menta, in his latest film Argentina). The harmony is shattered when a young auctioneer is convinced that he wants the house sold, but especially the three seniors say it's not very close, so have the three sinister look a the same mentality. The film has bases of terror and suspense, as well as black comedy, among other ingredients of cinema.

bizarre and Z series. A group of wild teenagers get to Bariloche looking for fun, run out of fuel and desided to take refuge in an abandoned house, despite being warned by the vampire legends. Directed by: Hugo Santiago .
Starring: Olga
Zubarry.
Lautaro Murua.
Juan Carlos Paz.
Martin Adjemian.
Premiere: October 16, 1969.
Duration: 123.
Review:
Aquileia an imaginary city is surrounded by a superior enemy in their midst, just an old man (Juan Carlos Paz) is organizing a core of resistance giving orders to the group led by Herrera (Lautaro Murua). Banging off and taking action in diverse geographical locations, the resistance will serve its purpose, not without losing some troops. With each mission, seen in the limits and horizons of the city the passive presence of the invaders, either on line or in multiple car riders. Is that the invasion until the making, will take place on land, sea and air. As the plot progresses, we are entering into the lives of some characters. Principal, observe their conflicted married life with Irene (Olga Zubarry), who in turn also operates an organized group. Each of the members of the resistance is painted with a particular line. One (Martin Adjemian) is a coward until he decides to prove his courage in pursuit of the group and another (Daniel Fernandez) is hopelessly womanizer despite their unattractive physical, a third (Ricardo Ormello) is fond of the Class B Western movies. . the boss, Don Porfirio, is an old man who talks to his cat and drinking mate alone. Seen by an audience outside their authors and historical moment of release, the film is expressed as a kind of ucronia stripped of all science fiction, a bit like THE INVADERS series, in which aliens were perfectly embodied by ordinary individuals. The fantastic component, then, lies in the lack of explanation of the reasons for each side (ambiguity that promotes discussion items should be labeled with the antagonism that marked the historical evolution Argentina). Characters that move on a fantastic city (whose pictorial map chairs each meeting convened by Don Porfirio) and that cross each cardinal point of the compass rose, and dying in ways that go the less fantastic. Adding literary knowledge to the analysis, it appears that this is a film with the great As co-writer Jorge Luis Borges. From the pen recognize the meaning of the dialogue and the domestic epic Borgesian certain characters perfectly. The other co-author of the story, Adolfo Bioy Casares, it recovers the spirit of the narrative construction of collective hero (a trait that also resembles the classic comic "The Eternauta" with whom he shares the confrontation on the pitch the club River Plate) . Finally, the cinematic contribution Hugo Santiago, ranging from moments of cinema-style but Jean-Pierre Melville misused to describe the fast motion action sequences.

Masterpieces of Terror. 1960.
Directed by: Enrique Carreras .
Starring: Narciso Ibáñez Menta
.
Mercedes Carreras.
Carlos Estrada. Narciso Ibáñez Serrador
.
Premiere: July 28, 1960.
Duration: 115 minutes .
Review: Memorable
Argentine film, a great success, perhaps the best national film made, and one of the best in Latin America. Much has been said of the film MASTERPIECES OF TERROR (1960) by Enrique Carreras, consisting of three stories of Poe, has preceded the interest sparked by the famous author from the U.S. cycle starring Vincent Price and directed by Roger Corman. HOUSE OF USHER (The Dreadful House of Usher, 1960), first film in the series, was released in Argentina in March 1961, almost a year after the Race. The three stories, adapted cleverly by Narciso Ibañez Serrador, are:
1) THE CASE OF MR. (***½): VALDEMAR Dr. Eckstrom (Narciso Ibáñez Menta) experiments with magnetization (hypnosis) as a cure for mental illness. His most faithful disciple (Osvaldo Pacheco) falls prey to a deadly disease, and the scientist have an opportunity to test whether the magnetism can preserve the individual's death.
2) THE BARREL OF AMONTILLADO (***½): Mr. Samivet is a winemaker whose bored wife (Inés Moreno) claims, after three years of marriage, for some fun to break the routine. But the harvest festivals that take place and are custom for her. Until a handsome young peddler (Carlos Estrada), who seduces women, causing more terrible revenge by the quiet Samivet.
3) Tell-Tale Heart (***½): A young man (Chicho Ibañez Serrador) lives with the old owner of a watch that has a glass eye. As the boy grows into hatred, this is concentrated in the macabre eye. The tragedy triggered it soon.
The three stories are neatly narrated and furnished, featuring all three interpretations Narciso Ibañez Menta anthologies (his characterization of the Jew in The Heart ... is at the level of Lon Chaney). Moments of tension and climates make similar (or superior) to many of the Hammer films of those years. A real surprise in the filmography of director PALOMITA Miramar, about which rumors have indicated that the film was directed by Ibañez actually father and son, which has not been affirmed or denied by them. We believe that career if directed, but incorporating the smart indications Mint Serrador who, at the time, had already written and performed all the stories for TV. The Herald, dated August 1960 reports: "It is by far the best movie of Enrique Carreras, who had never achieved such balance in the direction of a film." It is interesting to check also the international career that took this movie: In 1963 producer Jack Harris bought it and turn into English made him the first two stories, released with the title of MASTER OF HORROR, and then send it in a double feature with THE 4-D MAN, or MASTER OF TERROR. Everything is used, nothing is lost, the remaining segment was launched in 1972 as part of a film called LEGEND OF HORROR, with new scenes directed by Bill Davies and performed by Ben Daniels and Fawn Silver.
